Questions about official Peoria County criminal records usually belong with the office that created or keeps the record. The contacts below route court files to the Circuit Clerk, statewide histories to Illinois State Police, and sheriff records to the Maxwell Road public-safety campus.

This Is Not a Government Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot pull criminal records, run official background checks, remove or correct a record, or accept expungement filings for anyone. For any of those, you need to reach the right government office directly.

Need an Official Record?

Use the custodian that matches the Peoria County record:

  • Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
  • Criminal histories and rap sheets: contact Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
  • Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Peoria County Sheriff's Office
  • Official checks: use Illinois State Police CHIRP or fingerprint-based Access and Review, as appropriate
  • Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
  • Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case

For Sheriff records and FOIA service, contact the Peoria County Sheriff's Office, 301 N. Maxwell Road, Peoria, IL 61604, 309-697-8515.
